Sydney Bopp is a Partner at Boundary Stone Partners. She most recently served as Chief of Staff to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office (LPO) and also served as part of DOE’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Core Implementation Team, where she led efforts in establishing the new $20 billion Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED).

Sydney’s experience spans the nonprofit, private, and public sectors. She served at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, U.S. Department of Transportation, and spent nearly a decade at the Energy Department with LPO, EERE, and the Chief Financial Officer’s legislative liaison team where she focused on appropriations matters for energy and innovation offices.

Previously, Sydney was the Associate Director of Technology Policy at the Bipartisan Policy Center, where she focused on carbon dioxide removal technology, commercialization, and tax policy. She was also a consultant with Holland & Knight’s Public Policy and Regulations group where she supported clients on federal clean energy and manufacturing policy matters. Sydney began her career in climate and energy as a legislative aide and research analyst to the Chairman of the Massachusetts House Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change.

Sydney was a 2011 Presidential Management Fellow and is a recipient of the Secretary’s Appreciation Award for her work on the Department of Energy’s 2015 Science and Energy Plan.

She holds an M.A. from Northeastern University and a B.A. from the University of Delaware.
